What Is A Good and Easy Italian Dessert?
My foods class final exam is coming up and I need to plan an italian menue. I already have Manicotti, Garlic Bread, Fresh Tomatoes with Mozzerella, but all i need is a dessert that is easy.
If possible, please include a recipe or the link to a recipe. Remember, we are Juniors in high school, so please dont make it too complicated. Thank you!
Italian Ice is always a favorite. Here’s an easy one to make. Not a true Italian Ice, but it looks and tastes like one:
Strawberry Yogurt Freeze
INGREDIENTS
2 Container low-fat strawberry yogurt (6 oz.)
1 Pint strawberries, stems removed
1 Teaspoon grated orange peel
1/2 Cup orange juice
Mix strawberry yogurt and spoon into ice cube tray. Freeze until completely frozen, about 3 to 4 hours. Remove cubes from tray and place in bowl of electric food processor. Process until finely chopped. Add strawberries, orange peel and orange juice and process until smooth. Place in freezer, stirring occasionally, until firm enough to scoop, about 1 to 2 hours. Prep Time: 06:10. Serves:3-4
