how much does it cost to go to school to be a pastry chef?

and would it be a good career? in that it pays well and positions for it are actually obtainable?

I am a former chef from canada, and would recommend checking out the culinary schools in your area and compare there tuition rates, I know here in Toronto Canada, that 3 community colleges do a course and 2 private schools also, and they charge between $6500-8000 for the entire course, so $30,000 for each semester seems a bit much, look up the schools in your area and enquire, if nothing is available, you may have to go out of your area or town.

The Art Institutes have a good course. As for after pastry chefs are paid well and have more stable hours and work schedules.
